Well written with some very valid points

I do, however, believe you have devalued the fan. I think fan support has a lot of positive effects on recruiting and creating a positive atmosphere which is very valuable to a team. It also think it works the other way too. If enough folks are clamoring how bad their team/ coach/ players suck it becomes a cancer and a self fulfilling prophecy
