Yes because they stayed engaged as fans through all ups and downs
Apathetic and casual fans just check out. Passionate fans do not. And eventually the self loathing turns to self deprecation, still not apathy.
This year, BYU hit apathy with too many fans as the UNLV and SSU games showed. Apathy is the worst thing that can happen.
