I agree, for the last season, but remember, Doman had moved to a new spread....
...offense and put a horrible QB (Riley nelson) back there who caused the vast majority of his own sacks. Because he was such a jack rabbit behind the LOS, such a poor decision maker and had such a weak arm, BYU's line was constantly challenged by 6-7 man rushes, usually no fewer than five. When you try to run against that environment, you are not going to be as successful. So personnel decisions which lead to many O-line injuries probably had far more to do with BYU's 4 YPC net rushing game in Weber's last two seasons. His first four seasons utilizing the WCO and his first two seasons at USU, produced solid rushing statistics just like he had done as O-line coach at Arizona State.

I find it interesting that critics keep forgetting or ignoring the obvious reasons Weber's lines struggled under Doman, but excelled under Anae I, at ASU and now at USU. the common denominator for failure was Riley Nelson at QB which led to injuries, too many freshman starters and therefore a weak (3.9 YPC was his worst year) rushing line. Weber's career lines have averaged nearly 5 YPC. THAT is the telling reality.
