Your point is true, but then it is also the preference for passing teams...
The fact is, Nelson and Hill are both ball holders which lead to many of the sacks and the same argument I made in favor of Weber I make in favor of 2J. The average hold and progression read for a typical BYU QB should never exceed 4.5 seconds. Nelson was a 7.1 second per pass attempt Qb and Hill, although remarkably improved at 5.3 seconds so far in his career, will never be confused with Boscoe, Young, Sarkesian, McMahon, Wilson, etc....all sub 5 second decision makers. So what YOU might believe a criticism, is in fact the reason sacks are avoided and prior to this ridiculous spread crap, always a measure of how smart a BYU QB really was. Stewart is also quick on the draw, about 4.4 seconds.

Don't tell me decision making ability and trigger pulling isn't important. in games Stewart started, he has a 22:3 TD to Pick ratio. He should have been playing all along. Hill should have been a slot back, never a QB. He'll never play that position in the NFL. But thank you for proving my point...that decision making and trigger pulling lowers the sack rate. Who then should be condemned? Holiday if his receivers are not open in 3.5 seconds? Beck if his QB's are incapable of making a decision in 3.5 seconds? How is it three decades of BYU QB's could do that, and Heaps, a drop back QB could do that, but suddenly YOU GUYS get enamored with leggy ball handlers that can't make a decision to save their lives and suddenly its the line's fault?

Weber is a very fine coach. I actually believe 2J is as well, but none of you have explained why with almost all healthy lineman for two seasons his sack totals are far worse than any weber year in history. I read a lot of justification excuses, but nothing solid, no reality.
