Sacks was the biggest criticism for ALL of you, and its laughable that...
...most of you are simply too immature to admit you were wrong! Changing the offense, and changing the QB to one who was a terrible decision maker and listening to the lineman in interviews tell you that they were getting blindsided and hammered because they never knew where Nelson was so they were always trying to find him and getting killed in the process means something. I'll trust what coaches, football writers and players say about Weber...not what a bunch of spoiled fans that do not really know the game very well think and say. Weber is a good coach, probably a great coach.

ALL of you have YET to explain how 2J's 38 and currently 34 sack seasons with only one major injury replacement in 2 seasons is so much better than Weber's SIX seasons at BYU which went 24, 19, 21, 17, 24 and 30 sack seasons and six years when his teams average 4.8 yards per carry overall. You believe what you WANT to believe or fits your narrative, but the numbers don't lie. Perhaps you didn't realize that Weber's WORST sack total year on sacks per one hundred attempts would have ranked the BYU line #7 in the NFL in 2012. 2J's two lines would rank in the bottom #7 of the NFL. So keep telling me just how sacks were important for weber, but not important for 2J. All I can see is a lot of self-promoting crap. weber was an exceptional coach. he was promoted when he took the USU job and became the Assistant Head Coach. Had wells left, he likely would have been named USU's next head Coach.

But you 20 year olds all seem to know so much more than the people who are a part of the game professionally. Why not humble out and just admit, the grass wasn't necessarily greener with 2J. I personally like 2J and think he is a very good coach, but he has yet a long way to go to becoming Weber's real equal in the trenches. People said BYU's O-line was soft under Weber. I think it was simply young, mostly 2nd and 3rd teamers because of the attrition in both Doman years. Tougher now is just older and nastiest, but based on the number of sacks it gives up, certainly not better at blocking in the backfield or creating pockets.
