I have three friends who played O-line in the NFL. Two of them
played for BYU. Another was close to BYU. I spoke with them all about Weber and what I was seeing. They all gave me their opinions that Weber was horrible. He did not teach technique or leverage. Instead, his methodology was all about "out-willing" the guy in front of you.

I feel bad for guys like Michael Yeck who, with the right coaching, should have been much better than he was.

There is a reason we have a bunch of Freshmen and Sophomores starting on the O-Line. The older guys have too many bad habits and are just not productive. BYU had to play Riley over better quarterbacks in the program because he was the only one who could consistently sneak out of the collapsing pocket. The O-Line is critical in a pro-form offense. Doman's system never had a chance.

Weber may have new life in Logan. I predict that in 2 years, USU will be suck-dogging it on offense because of a lack of O-Line. This is Weber's historical performance record. 1-2 good years, then a swift decline downhill.

Not saying he is a bad guy. He just isn't a good O-Line coach IMO.
