Recruits from Utah are way more likely to be
sitting the bench for BYU (or Utah for that matter) than out of state recruits, the poor showing of "Iggy's trio" notwithstanding.
Look at the difference makers for BYU and Utah over the last 10 years or so. There have been a few exceptional athletes from the state of Utah, but by and large they've been from out of state.
