i think you missed my point; the fact we're the uncool school is PRECISELY the

reason we have to have coaches more willing to work with the athletes they can get, not less;

the adage "beggars can't be choosers" is very true and very apt in BYU's situation;

our biggest challenge, IMHO, is getting elite athletes; a team full of Rudy's will not be able to compete or survive in the "win or go gome" reality of independence
