I disagree with you. My son is vying for scholarships at several

universities in his sport, and we have reached out to the coaches at each of these schools. It is true that some athletes are identified by coaches and they reach out as well, but recruiting is a two-way street. Especially if the athlete is relatively unknown (not 3-5*).
