My sister used to think like you do.

But she caved because my nephew would turn anything into a toy gun, and he isn't even 3 years old yet. My nephew's favorite game is to have a shoot out with me, or once and a while we'll be on the same team and "hunt" their dog.

My sister now has shoot outs with him too.
