I have heard that from a few different former players. Sad thing about Empey is

that BYU THOUGHT he wouldn't be interested because of how things turned out with his dad. Wrong! His dad originally DID want his son to go to BYU, based on what he was telling some good friends and former teammates. BYU didn't start recruiting him until very late in the game. By then, it was too little too late.
