That is what he was used to in a real rivalry, this is what he grew up with. Whether we like it or not, these types of antics are elements in practically every other big football rivalry out there.

Urban is a master motivator and -- for better or worse -- these types of methods motivate the 18-21 year old mindset. If you question whether it works, just look at his track record against BYU, Georgia, Florida St., Alabama, Michigan, etc. -- the "rivals" he has encountered over the past 10-12 years. Dude knows how to motivate college football players on the biggest of stages in the brightest of lights.

He could care less how some of us touchy/feely types in the fanbases feel about it -- if it gets his team the "W," it works.

I'm not saying I agree with his methodology, but Bronco M. could learn a thing or two about motivation. The annual "it's not different than any other game" schpiel is complete and utter denial, and -- like Urban -- the success of Bronco's motivational methods for the rivalry game speaks for itself.
