Maybe I'm wrong, but I seem to remember...

the home crowd inspiring less-than-great teams from the pre-Jimmer era to play above themselves when playing at the MC. And getting in the heads of opposing players.

Remember in '07-'08? We lost to UNLV in Vegas by 30+. Then when they came to Provo, we turned the tables and beat them by 30+. I remember being there, and I think the crowd had a hand in it.
