They moved them to the baseline. A good portion of the students that are coming to the games now weren't even here when they were sitting on the sideline. Do you really think they sit there and say to each other, "Hmmm, I would like to go to the game, but did you know 3 years ago, the student section used to be 50 feet to the left? Forget it, I'm not going."

As for camping out, I would never be excited to camp on concrete to watch a basketball game. I'd rather pay $5 for a cheap ticket than do that. But when the team is good, there are people willing to do that.

Yep, the change in atmosphere is because the team isn't good. It's not rocket science. It's like this in every sport, at every level. Look at the Seahawks. No one was talking about how loud their stadium was 4 years ago.
