It's not just me making the comparison
from CBS Sports:
"Jerry Hinnen, Chip Patterson, Adam Silverstein and I each ranked 66 college football coaches (the 64 Power Five schools plus Notre Dame and BYU) and compiled our lists to form this composite ranking (of P5 coaches)"
anyone can see there are some striking similarities:
-exclusive TV contracts
-religious schools
-both "Independent" in football
-both considered to be the only 2 independent schools that the ACC can schedule with
-both have similar scheduling philosophies, as BYU is scheduling stronger and stronger opponents each year
They're only going to keep getting more similar, in my view, as BYU will continue to make inroads just as it has the last few years.
