It would also take another P5 conference who would be willing to take them
We learned last time around that the P12 is really only interesting in poaching Big 12 schools if they get Texas (as an equal partner) out of the deal.

The only candidates the Big Ten would be interested in is Kansas, Oklahoma, or Texas. Kansas and Oklahoma won't be able to leave without Kansas St or Oklahoma St so long as the Big 12 remains a Power conference which means they won't be joining the Big Ten unless Texas is leaving the conference.

The only Big 12 school the ACC would consider would be Texas.

The only schools the SEC would be interested in are Texas and Oklahoma. Again, I don't think Oklahoma could leave without Oklahoma St, and I think they probably could have joined the SEC in place of Missouri last round. I think they want to stay with Texas.

Ultimately, I think the only thing that tears a part the Big 12 is if Texas decides to leave. If the Longhorn network turns out to be unsustainable, and Texas is able to make more TV money in another conference then the Big 12 could still fall a part. Any of the other Power 5 conferences would take Texas.
