The travel between WV and BYU is only a minor barrier, IMO. First, off, it just isn't as big a deal as people make it. So your flight is a couple hours longer. Big woopdie doo. If the other reasons to expand exist, the travel is minor issue.

Second, you could arrange it for BYU and WVU to play very rarely.

I am pretty much assuming BYU for Fball only, or just Fball and Bball. If that isn't the case, it is a bigger issue.
