You say

this will force other conferences to get 16

Why???? I see people say this all the time. What "forces" other conferences to go to 16 if one conference does. Conferences are autotonomous. If the P12 decides it makes more sense competitively and financially to stay pat at 12 members, they'll sit at 12. If the SEC decides it doesn't help them out to expand to 16, they won't. I don't see what "forces" any other conference to go to 16 if the first one takes that step.
