given their track record...they probably expand to pick up 2 new markets right? UVA? Cinci? or blow up the Big12 by adding OU and consequently Ok State. this renews the OU/Neb rivalry, adds a HUGE major player in the football landscape. gets B1G schools into Texas market. gets B1G to 16 and the dominoes start to fall...Big12 will blow up. i seriously think they know it's going to happen they are just going to get rich, fat and happy while they can.

this will force other conferences to get 16 and the CFP truly becomes a "final 4" as the P5 becomes the P4 and the Big12 is the collateral damage. ACC adds WVU and ND as full time member. SEC and P12 then start fighting over Texas and where they go may ultimately determine BYU's fate.

scenario 1 - Texas to SEC

geographically they are closer to more SEC schools. SEC is the POWER conference and Texas is definitely a marquee, elite program. they have past rivalry with arkansas and could renew that by joining SEC. if they do that i think SEC takes Baylor as well and is now at 16. all that is left is the P12...which 4 do they go for? i'd think KU (bball) and KState are a nice pair. close to CU. that leaves 2 left. i really think it comes down to BYU, UNLV, TCU and BSU. i really think BYU and TCU get the nod...maybe UNLV (new stadium coming, perfect location, etc) if they can do some type of "football only" inclusion BYU and BSU are obvious choices.

scenario 2 - Texas to Pac16

this would be P12 dream IMO. they add Baylor which is perfect fit to P12's offense style. at that point there are 2 spots but now several more suitors...KU/KSU pair? BYU? TCU? BSU? UNLV? i doubt BYU gets in at that point and is left out.

(yes i think TT and ISU are out of luck too)

will be interesting to see how it all shakes down. ultimately, given their uniqueness BYU may be relegated to Indy forever which isn't a huge deal given the recent acknowledgement that we are a "P5" program. however we need inclusion for NY6 and more $$$ from ESPN to survive long term.
