Let me get this straight...you'd really rather die than have to eat "nasty" (is rice and beans, canned chicken, and unleavened bread really so nasty that you'd rather cease to exist?) food for a year? You'd really give up on your children's future (and the future of all humanity) in order to avoid having to temporarily live in the types of conditions that the vast majority of human beings who have ever lived on this planet have lived in?

I used to think Mormons were tougher than the population at large. It would appear we are not.
