I went to ohio state university and followed a lot of recruiting. There are decent recruits that come out of ohio for sure. There are some Cleveland Schools that pump out D1 guys. Now alot of these guys end up at Ohio State which is obviously a powerhouse program that puts a lot of guys into the NFL. Are they the speed guys that come out of florida and texas? No. But they are the linebackers and lineman etc. If you look at the rankings of best players in the state of Ohio all the best go to ohio state and michigan state picks up some of them and michigan gets an occasional guy as well as penn state and notre dame. The SEC schools dont seem to be after the ohio recruits although LSU is getting a lineman this year and i'm sure that occasional guys do go south.
