For any kid planning on a 4-5 year education this is a valid point.......
For a kid planning on playing D-1 basketball for 1-2 years, then going pro I don't think it makes any difference. Are the 24-36 credits of general education and PE courses that you take at Stanford really going to be that much different then the ones you would have taken at BYU?

I'm completely serious when I say that I don't fault any LDS kid who is a good ballplayer, but a long-shot at making the pros from choosing Stanford. If I were them, I would go there and major in Business and assure myself of a 6-figure salary outside of sports coming out of school. But for a kid like Frank, who is almost a sure thing to make the NBA, I don't think a "Stanford" education makes much difference.
