he can certainly match FJ's athleticism but he has something FJ can never learn - height. He has more NBA potential than FJ for that reason alone.

Don't get me wrong. I love me some FJ. I don't think he's going to choose BYU, either, and I'm very bummed about it. But it's surprising how often people forget basketball is a tall man's game. Why hasn't Jimmer made the transition to the NBA? He can't defend taller players. It's not his amazing offensive skills holding him back.

Dave Rose knows what he's doing, but this current BYU administration has handcuffed him in the WCC. They sacrificed basketball for the sake of football. It is what it is. That said, there's not a lot of legitimate NBA talent dying to go to BYU. I don't recall Rose botching Jabari's recruiting. BYU's not in the running for most top 25 draftable players, but they do a good job with the cards they are dealt. Recruiting to BYU always has been hard and it's getting harder due to competition, academics, and honor code. Coach Rose is doing a fine job.

Personally, if FJ doesn't choose BYU, it's his loss. I don't understand turning down your dream school. If you turn it down, it wasn't really your dream school, was it? BYU was my dream school. I could have gone to most of the schools I wanted to because of academics, but BYU was my dream school, and I went there. So, I don't really get him saying BYU is his dream school and then turning away from it. I certainly wouldn't choose Utah no matter what. He could have been a part of something legendary at BYU, but that doesn't seem to appeal to him. Maybe that's an indication of selfishness, maybe it isn't, but BYU is going to do great things regardless. I believe in what Coach Rose is building. The future of BYU basketball, is very, very bright.

So, when I feel sad about losing FJ to another school (most likely - it's not over yet), I look at this video. Then, I'm happy again.
