spending time thinking vs reacting can impact speed on the field...
...he's commented that he feels he has an improved understanding of our playbook and schemes than he did last year. If he's correct we'll see some of that on the field this year, even if it is to run him deep several times a game to stretch the D.

My biggest hope for the WR group this year, though, is that we no longer see MM getting WR screens thrown to him and that he becomes that big play downfield threat on the outside that he's been hyped up to be. Same with 5-7 yd quick slants. I'd much rather see those passes going to a WR whose physical abilities match up with that type of route like Mitchell Juergens, Trey Dye, Devon Blackmon, etc instead of to a long-legged 6'6" WR with a 37" vertical. Lets get him downfield more using his height and hops.
