It was a loose ball before the BYU player secured it
We have all seen guys go diving for a loose ball. In this case, the BYU guy jumped on it and you would like to see the Boise guy avoid the unnecessary hit, but it was a fumble and he is hoping the BYU player doesn't secure it. It at least makes sense within the context of the game. Punching someone in the balls has no place in the game. Plus it's hilarious and inappropriate at the same time.
