Totally hilarious and inappropriate -- I agree.
But the ball was no longer loose. Calling it not secured at that point is just as blind as saying that there was no punch. It wasn't like there were 5 guys all jumping on the ball at once. He was the only one who runs, lands on the ball. A second later, the BSU guy jumps on him. I've heard plenty of other people mention it (Gunther for one), but for some reason, the reason he was pissed in the first place gets dismissed.
