Not sure this is all accurate
I only read about 80% of the replies so far so may have covered this already. Also wonder if the user who said he's a scalper, gets the business. In Utah, most of this industry is legal. Meaning it's taxable income. The professional ticket brokers that I know, and see at ever byu game and pretty much any event in Utah worth working, buy tix after kickoff and rock bottom price. Then have documentation so that WHEN they right those tix off as a loss (occasional brokers will claim they bought that tix for full price after giving u $5) because this is their business. I know 2 brokers who have an office and operate similar to many small businesses. 90% chance that person wants ur ticket because they need tax deductions. So bid them up a few bucks so u can both benefit.
