I don't know why. Maybe so people buy from the BYU ticket office

BYU cops strictly enforce this policy (no ticket buying/selling on private/byu property) on gameday. I've seen them escort small children and old women alike off of byu property to sell their tickets. None of the scalpers venture past the barricades to buy/sell tickets on gameday.
