Not very good, but it was not completely without merrit.
I am not a SOS fan anyway. It is a hammer used by the haves to keep the have nots down if necessary. You only get 12 games usually set years in advance. In 2012 (?) FSUs sos was in the 60s. I still think they were the best team in football.
That's why an 8 team playoff with conference champs is vital. Then sos is meaningless except maybe for seeding. Every team gets a chance to prove themselves regardless of their schedule.
