The Rose Bowl did this over the last 20 years
The end zone are still benches but the sidelines are all stadium seats. Capacity went from 108,000 when UCLA moved there in 1982 to about 89,000 today. If the end zone bench seats are sold as general admission, as they were for this year's BYU game, then a sellout is considered 80,113. Can't convince those GA folks to squeeze in without seat numbers on their tickets.
