RE: It really perplexes me that people even consider wanting to get rid of
So here is BYU, under Bronco, in numerical form with quick season synopsis

2005: 6-6
Overall W/L of teams BYU beat: 22-34
Overall W/L of teams that beat BYU: 49-23
W/L against teams with > .500 record: 1-5
Top 25 wins: 0
Record against Top 25: 0-4

We didn’t beat anyone notable this year and of course let Utah build a huge lead in the first half only to come back and fall short. Curse you Curtis Brown for dropping that wide open wheel route pass! And Beck for missing a wide open Harline.

2006: 11-2
Overall W/L of teams BYU beat: 60-77
Overall W/L of teams that beat BYU: 16-9
W/L against teams with > .500 record: 4-1
Top 25 wins: 1
Record against Top 25: 1-1
Final rank: #16

This season includes one of Bronco’s greatest victories, beating a ranked TCU team on the road. TCU finished 11-2 and ranked #22 in AP. That Arizona loss we lament ended up looking like a bad loss as Arizona finished .500 at 6-6. Our other loss, BC, finished 10-3 and ranked #20. Good year for BYU.

2007: 11-2
Overall W/L of teams BYU beat: 59-65
Overall W/L of teams that beat BYU: 16-11
W/L against teams with > .500 record: 4-1
Top 25 wins: 0
Record against top 25: 0-0
Final rank: #14

Lost to 6-7 UCLA early in the year only to come back and block their field goal to win in glorious fashion in the Vegas Bowl later on. Tulsa debacle happened this year.

2008: 10-3
Overall W/L of teams BYU beat: 37-73
Overall W/L of teams that beat BYU: 32-7
W/L against teams with > .500 record: 2-3
Top 25 wins: 0
Record against top 25: 0-2
Final rank: #25

Quest for Perfection. Utah’s miracle season. We weren’t bad but those two things really sucked.

2009: 11-2
Overall W/L of teams BYU beat: 61-76
Overall W/L of teams that beat BYU: 19-7
W/L against teams with > .500 record: 5-2
Top 25 wins: 2
Record against top 25: 2-0
Final rank: #12

Bronco’s highest final season ranking. OSU technically didn’t finish the season ranked in the top 25 but I counted them since BYU knocked them out. Last year BYU has beaten Utah. They finished the season 10-3 and ranked #18. Bronco’s highly touted win over Oklahoma tempered by their 8-5, unranked finish but to be fair they did that without their Heisman QB.

2010: 7-6
Overall W/L of teams BYU beat: 31-57
Overall W/L of teams that beat BYU: 59-20
W/L against teams with > .500 record: 2-5
Top 25 wins: 0
Record against top 25: 0-3

Best win this season was over Suck Dog State who finished 9-4!? We should have beat Utah this year. They should have an asterisk next to that win for having a stroke patient in their replay booth.

2011: 10-3
Overall W/L of teams BY beat: 42-81
Overall W/L of teams that beat BYU: 27-12
W/L against teams with > .500 record: 2-3
Top 25 wins: 0
Record against top 25: 0-1

Our big win over the SEC team (Ole Miss) doesn’t look so hot as they finished 2-10 and were hardly competitive in many games. 54-10. Fake spike, touchdown Hoffman.

2012: 8-5
Overall W/L of teams BYU beat: 35-53
Overall W/L of teams that beat BYU: 48-16
W/L against teams with > .500 record: 2-4
Top 25 wins: 1
Record against top 25: 1-4

Who would have thought that our best win in a season would ever be against USU? They finished 11-2 and ranked #16. We were one bone headed throw away from beating the runner up for the NC on the road (Notre Dame). The year of close loses and one major botched opportunity (losing to OSU at home while they were highly ranked; they actually finished 9-4 and still ranked at #20). We lost to a 5-7 Utah team this year guys.

2013: 8-5
Overall W/L of teams BYU beat: 52-39
Overall W/L of teams that beat BYU: 34-29
W/L against teams with > .500 record: 6-3
Top 25 wins: 0
Record against top 25: 0-3

By my calculation this is the only year, under Bronco, that the teams BYU beat had an overall winning record. Did not fair well against the really good ones. The stench of the Virginia loss is hard to get rid of. They finished 2-10. We lost to another 5-7 Utah team. At home.

2014: 8-5 .
Overall W/L of teams BYU beat: 33-52
Overall W/L of teams that beat BYU: 36-14
W/L against teams with > .500 record: 1-4
Top 25 wins: 0
Record against top 25: 0-1

The year of the Bronco “haters” and Bronco “apologists”. Taysom broke his leg and for once the Cow preyed on the Cougar. Memphis Brawl.

2015: 9-4
Overall W/L of teams BYU beat: 48-54
Overall W/L of teams that beat BYU: 33-18
W/L against teams with > .500 record: 2-3
Top 25 wins: 0
Records against top 25: 0-2

Bronco's ride into the sunset. We'll leave it at that.

Summary of BYU under Bronco:

Overall Record: 99-42
Overall W/L of teams BYU beat: 480-661
Overall W/L of teams that beat BYU: 369-166
W/L against teams with > .500 record 31-35
Record against rival: 3-7
Top 25 wins: 4
Record against top 25: 4-18
Top 25 finishes: 4
Notable wins: Any win against Utah, TCU 2006, Oklahoma 2009, OSU 2009, USU 2012 (I hate admitting this), Texas 2013, Texas 2014, Nebraska 2015, BSU 2015, others?
The stinkers (some of these are personal): Any loss to Utah especially 54-10, SDSU 2005, Arizona 2006, FSU 2009, USU 2010, OSU 2012, ND 2012, SJSU 2012, Virginia 2013, Washington 2013, USU 2014, Nevada 2014, BSU 2014, Michigan 2015, Missouri 2015

Pros: 4 top 25 finishes in 10 years isn’t great but it isn’t horrible, 5 10+ win seasons, no losing seasons
Cons: < .500 ball against > .500 competition, poor record against top 25 teams, 3-7 against Utah
