By the same reasoning that replacing our coaches won't improve our talent
Coach N would use whatever system and coaches that he would win with given the talent level available to him

Coach N is known to be an excellent recruiter and while none of us know, there is no reason to assume that the level of talent he would recruit would be any less than it is now and I believe there is a good chance it could significantly improve, based on his past history and ability to scout talent.

It is not just BYU that is uniquely frustrated with a winning coach--every program with a strong history, after 10 years and good but not great results, would be ready to try something new.

I don't think we should fire bronco. Ever. I just don't want him signed to another contract if we can get someone else with experience. And there are coaches out there and I hope TH is looking.

I am tired of this same result year after year. I have absolutely no expectation that this coaching staff can do any better than they are doing or that I have any reason to think that they can take it up a notch. But to think we should be satisfied with good but not great because our perceived limitations is ridiculous. I don't believe in that and never will. And if what I am doing in life isn't working, I keep making changes until I reach the level of excellence I expect, regardless of my circumstances. I personally don't believe that the athletic department is as tolerant of our lack of results in football and basketball as many of the fans are. No one with any sort of competitive spirit in their blood wants to be an also ran. I don't think Bronco does either. I just don't think he has the skills to get us over the top.

Don't fire bronco. Just please don't renew his contract. Promote him. Give him a position within the department. Thank him for the work he's done. But Tom. I sincerely hope you are shopping behind the scenes. 10 years of this is enough.
