Not off the top of my head although if you look at the early coaching careers of
Urban Meyer, June Jones , Lavell Edwards and Rich Rodriguez and how their offensive philosophies adapted, evolved and changed over time that might answer your question.
I do know of a successful venture capitalist who became a very successful governor, a successful actor and governor who became a pretty good president and I know of a couple retired Army and Air Force generals who became well-respected university heads. It's often more about the leadership DNA of the man than an offensive or defensive scheme they may have implemented in the past.
