Assuming Utah wins today, they've made huge strides over the past 2 years.
From no bowl for 2 straight years to 9 wins & ranked last year, to the possibility of 10 and a higher ranking this year.
BYU has not shown any signs of improvement since going independent. Only one fringe ranking finish (25th Coaches) the first year when the schedule was supremely soft. If anything, the trajectory is down since leaving the MWC.
Pretending the two coaches are similar is grasping at straws.
