Agreed. People also need to consider the effect on recruiting.
You think Jamaal Williams and Nick Kurtz come to BYU if we are in the AAC? Not a chance. The indy schedules are P5 quality on ESPN and that's a huge draw to recruiting. Move to the AAC and our recruiting, especially of non-LDS athletes, will suffer.
Indy is better than the AAC and gives us the best flexibility to move to a P5 if we are invited.
