In the last 35 years BYU has made it past the 1st weekend of the NCAA tournament twice. In both occasions that was dependent on once-in-a-generation players (Ainge and Jimmer). Like it or not this is the reality of BYU basketball. You have won your conference tournament 3 times. Ever. Is there some great reason to believe that BYU should dominate the WCC now? Am i missing something from the last 3 decades? Clearly you have more tradition than both Gonzaga and St Mary's combined but history doesn't do much for the present and the fact is that those two programs have been consistently better than BYU since you came to the conference and neither of them do it with elite recruits or a bigger budget or better facilities than BYU.
