I can't speak to your specific situation but if you are going over
what you can afford and you will be strapped. I highly recommend renting. Or going for a smaller home. Too many people sacrifice their financial home because they have to have X home. What percentage of your monthly income will go towards mortgage, taxes, and insurance. If you are over 30%, I would not even consider it. But that is me.
