Why is travel such a big deal. Theoretically increased travel costs
should only affect West Virginia and BYU. The other schools only have to make the trip to WV and BYU once. Both BYU and WVU have to take a long trip every game. It affects them more so that the others.

Sunday play was never a problem for the WAC, MWC and WCC but suddenly it's a huge problem for the Big12?

BYU was the big fish in the little pond in the WAC and MWC. WCC was hppy to oblige to get BYU in the conference.
