levels every year. They need a perfect storm of sorts. I do think they are on a steady upward trend with facilities and recruits. SLC isn't the greatest, but it is better than Stillwater, Norman, Waco, Tucson, etc and comparable to Phoenix, Eugene, Ann Arbor, Gainesville, etc etc. It will be hard to compete with the SoCal climate, but USC is in the middle of gang central.
Sadly, multiple big name schools are dropping their rivalries. A&M walked away from UT. Nebraska walked away from OK. Both schools probably share a hate for UT as a motive and both schools are in better conferences, especially A&M. I think Utah's dropping BYU is a result of Chris Hills petty vindictiveness. Hill will retire soon and regular bball games with BYU will resume (I hope). Football will take occasional breaks when Utah gets a home/home with a big name OOC school and I am OK with that. I loved my trip to the big house in 2014.
