Maybe you're right and people wouldn't look more favorably on Davis if he were black and maybe you're wrong (not my point), but either way mentioning Aytes is inapposite. It is possible (even if it isn't actually true) that some people might be really excited about the potential of Aytes if he were scoring 12 points and bringing down 7.5 boards because they overlook his deficiencies due to the color of his skin. However, we won't know because Aytes isn't doing that.
My point is that if you want to prove that people wouldn't look on Davis's performance and potential more favorably if he were black, you can't just point to any black player who people aren't high on. You have to point to one people aren't high on with at least similar production.
