and this includes his passing. Mangum is a bit overhyped because of the hail mary's. While he had a tremendous freshman year, he played quite poorly in a number of games (BSU, Michigan, San Jose State, Mizzou, first quarter against Utah was awful with decision making). He also had some good games (ECU, Cincinnatti, USU, etc.). However, he struggled quite a bit making quick reads and quick passes and defaulted too much to rolling out right and just throwing the long bomb.
I love him and am glad to have him, but if Taysom can pass like he did in 2014 and the Nebraska game I think he is the better choice right now.
