I think they lift in the off season a little bit. I'm sure sprinters do a lot
more lifting than the light climbers. It's all about intensity. I lose the most weight when the weather warms up and can ride up the canyons regularly. Keeping your heart rate above 160 for an hour burns a lot of calories. I honestly think a good balance of cardio, lifting, and diet is the key.
