better with that and I failed there. I have a hard time with someone telling literally 1000+ people on a message board that it's a done deal and then also say, "but please don't tell anyone". You are a smart guy, Bama. You have to see how that makes this look like an attention grab even though I'm assuming it is your well intentioned effort to give byu fans optimism.

It bothers me when anyone takes someone else's comment and applies their own convictions to what that person meant. I, personally, am taking Tom's comments at face value and I believe Tom legitimately was saying football only would be a possibility. You try to tell people that he's saying that to try to shake the perception we are difficult to work with. And you act as though you know that's what he's saying. Why? Because you've become so deep in your hope for the Big12 that you want to shape anyone's comments to fit the outcome that you have decided upon.

I believe BYU will get in the Big12. Mostly just because we are better than any of he G5 schools being considered. If they don't take us, they're a bit shortsighted and foolish, imo. But I'm careful to not laugh at anyone that hasn't formulated their opinions so much that they are twisting someone's words to match what they hope to be true. People who are not listening to every single word being said by every person on Twitter and are still forming their opinions. So when I see a "LOL. Oh he's just saying that because..." Kind of response, I realize that person thinks they are a bit more informed than they perhaps really are regardless of the actual outcome when all the dust settles.

I know people are fond of you and your efforts to inform other fans of the worthiness of BYU in the Big12. I commend you on your work. I think you've made things very clear for other BYU fans with this regard. I know you are an excited and diehard fan and I respect you for that.

And most of all, I apologize for the cheap shot I made about you sticking to telling people how many Instagram followers BYU has. That was uncalled for. I'm trying to be better than that.
