With this OP I'm trying to summarize and analogize this ongoing saga. I feel it's an apt analogy.

I think I made it clear that we're not in yet ... we're not married yet. Something could blow this whole thing up, though the odds seem longer and longer for that.

The "(try to keep things quiet please)" is for sheer comical effect. Sorry if that wasn't clear, but I think it's painfully obvious that we at least have had a handshake deal with the Big12 for a while, and that the ink is being worked on right now.

Regarding Tom's comments ... I guess my "lol ..." came off as condescending and "know-it-all-ish." My intended meaning could not be contained in the 80 character subject line, but I foolishly tried to squeeze it in there anyways. I could have avoided all this by leaving off the "lol" and saying: "I think he's actively working to debunk the "hard to deal with" rap on BYU w/ that" instead.

I do appreciate your explanation and I know that we're all big-time BYU fans through and through.
