Given how poor the QB play was from 2010-12 the fact that Lark couldn't beat out Nelson or Heaps says much about Lark.
If he really was good, he should have been able to beat out two awful quarterbacks.

Yeah, you really can't complain if you have the potential to be a 3 year starter

I agree. Those other guys wouldn't be starters on a decent d1 team and Mangum is headed to the NFL one day.

Agree about Mangum... Disagree about Lark. Dude should have started over Nelson - Bronco blew that decision.

I guess that's what I'm basing my opinion off of, that he couldn't start of Riley. Because Riley was mediocre.

He didn't start over Riley because Bronco had a serious man crush on Riley. Bronco's decision there wasn't talent based.

You realize Lark never got first team reps, right?

Exactly - he was never given a fair shake with the first team to get better and show what he could do... the guy had

Lark looked pretty horrible in the bowl game as a 7th year senior. Don't think he was ever very good.

We got to see a some good play from him and some very mediocre play (bowl game).

I agree about QB development...it was stunted by coaching decisions.

but if he had stayed wouldn't he have had s shot because of the injuries?

Christian Stewart had very comparable stats to Mangum FWIW

good point, but Stewart was a senior and Mangum was a Fresh-barely off mission
