I'm not sure it is completely true as all three schools do relatively well, I suppose you could argue the reserves are weaker at USU and BYU than your average P5 but these aren't "undeserving" players. It also ignores states like Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, etc. that aren't that much larger than Utah but also support at least three FBS programs. As I said, I'd be interested in seeing how it actually breaks down by something like star level, players that start, or something similar.
