My favorite thing to do to BYU fans at Rice Eccles...
Is to approach from behind and say "hey!", see the "oh crap here we go" look on their face and then thank them profusely for coming and playing us. I give them a pat on the back and say "best of luck, and thank you for coming!".

I did that one year and the guy ended up sitting in front of us. West side 38 yard line, he was on the 4th row. He was kind of like the little puppy that won't leave you alone. Really nice, but kept trying to say nice things about a bad call or missed pass....I'll admit, I did it back as wll giving props to BYU, etc.

Depends on the section. I had to give my seats up in 2008 to my kids and sat a little closer to the North End zone. A guy next to me kept putting the program guide in front of a kid (BYU fan) saying something about who he should be cheering for. I slapped it out of his hand pretty quick, and told him firmly to "bug off". Honestly, the worst "incident" I had seen since going in the 90's.

Tailgate area, however, is a totally different story. We love bringing in fans who venture in for food, but I've seen fans there with totally, irrelevant to football, behavior. They are usually the ones without a ticket looking to mooch off of the other tailgaters.

I say do it, cheer loud and proud. W13 lower section is where it's at, right behind the visiting team.
