that came out with the first letter that was sent to the BIGXII approach the USGA, and the USGA turned them down. Doesn't mean that they have an opinion one way or another. However their president did write an opinion piece in the Deseret News a few weeks back basically saying that they feel that excluding BYU only hurts the USGA and closes the communication that they hope would open up more if other schools would try to work with BYU.

I do hope that BYU works with the USGA and I really really do hope that BYU has some change of heart on this issue. I'm not asking for changing of doctrine, but when the honor code is hurting people instead of helping them... it's lost all of it's meaning and integrity. And right now it's hurting people.
