The thing that's funny to me is how many people believe position coaches
actually make that big of a difference. It's almost all on the players themselves. If there is a good group of receivers and they happen to play to their ability, it's mostly cause they are just good. If a group of receivers isn't playing very well, it's mostly cause they aren't very good.

Can position coaches move the needle a bit? Sure, but they aren't taking people who aren't talented and making them all Americans. They are taking players and hoping to get out of them what they can get relative to their abilities.

The biggest asset a position coach can be is out on the recruiting trail. Their job is to go out on the hunt to find players to make them look good as coaches.

Bottom line, the receivers play we've seen this year would have little to no difference whatsoever if Holiday (sp?) were at Byu or Cahoon.

Do people really believe Cahoon showed up to campus and coached players to drop balls and play below average?

According to Brady Poppinga's logic Ty must be coaching Taysom to throw more INT's than TD's and to overthrow or not even acknowledge open receivers running downfield.

Coaches work with what they have.
