My daughter in laws' cousin is a high school WR recruit. (He's 6'4", good build and his dad is a huge man, so I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up as a TE)

This WR was at BYU for a recruiting visit the week of the Miss St game. His high school team had a bye so he came down for a couple of days. He told my son that he attended 2 practices and that Taysom was by far the most effective in practice. He said that Taysom looked head and shoulders better than Tanner. My son was very surprised to hear this, as he is very pro Tanner (my son played QB in high school and played against Tanner and also played against him in basketball)

This recruit was surprised and also a little disappointed. He is hoping that next year he will be playing with Tanner and is also very much pro Tanner.

Take it for what it's worth, it's obviously secondhand, (I suppose I make it thirdhand). But this is coming from a pro Tanner guy, and he said similar things to back up a little of what we have heard.

P.S. - about the WR recruit, this kid is a total stud. Fast, super athletic, Great vertical, (you should see the dunking show he can put on) very good basketball player also. He will be a great addition to BYU.
